Ophrys mammosa / Memeli Orkide / Breasted Orchid from Silivri, İstanbul.
Description: This is a very variable species with a wide distribution in eastern Mediterranean. Many local variants have been observed and influences from other species, probably intermix.
Characteristics of this species: undivided lip, black shiny pseudo-eyes, generally black stigmatic cavity, lip of 12-17mm, bicoloured lateral sepals, purple tinted at their lower part.
