Graphosoma italicum (Italian Striped Stink Bug / İtalyan Çizgili Kokarböceği)

Graphosoma italicum (Italian Striped Stink Bug / İtalyan Çizgili Kokarböceği) from Bayramören, Çankırı - 23.07.2009.

Italian Striped Stink Bug is a member of the family Pentatomidae, the largest shield bug family of the Heteropteran bugs with a totat of about 3,000 species.

This species is abundant on umbellifer flowers as you seen here. Legs often completely in black and it has complete pronatal stipes on dorsum. However, in closely related species Graphosoma semipunctatum the stripes on the pronotum (pronatal stripes) are broken into dots and the tibia almost entirely red instead of black (See Catherine’s related post).
